“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs.” ~ Ansel Adams

For more than a century, photography has helped shape the environmental conservation movement. Ansel Adams’ reputation as a landscape photographer is legendary, but his environmental activism was equally impressive. Like John Muir before him, Adams understood that environmental protection begins not with policy but with perception. If people could see the land, witness its beauty and fragility, they might start to value our wild spaces and strive to protect them. That spirit lives on in Wild Eye.

Founded by wildlife photographer Jason Bradley and collaborators, the magazine aims to elevate the photographic conversation by placing greater emphasis on conservation and a meaningful visual narrative. Each issue brings together photographers and writers who explore the crossroads of imagery and conservation, reminding us of the power of a single photograph to advocate and inspire action on behalf of our natural world.

Issue 6 explores the connection between people and wildlife through powerful imagery and thoughtful storytelling, including Margot Raggett’s Remembering Wildlife book series and its conservation impact. Future issues will offer a journey through the eyes of some of the world’s most compelling landscape, wildlife, and underwater photographers. Wild Eye invites us into a community united by reverence for these wild, natural environments.

Please support Jason and the Wild Eye team as they move forward with this heartening new chapter in photography and conservation.
